A

often visible when small and anterior but in the content of trauma a large anterior fat pad or any posterior fat pay indicates fracture

how are fat pads shown on xray?

A

intraarticular fracture causes bleeding inside the joint capsule leading to swelling or expanding inside the capsule which pushes bone out and then there are dark grey shadows on the lateral film
