how would you invesrtigate the conditions needed for germination?

1. take 4 boiling tubes and put cotton wool at the bottom of each one
2. put 10 seeds ontop of the wool in each
3. set up the boiling tubes like this: control, no water, low temp and no oxygen
4. leave the tubes for a few days
5. germination should only have taken place in tube 1, because all conditions needed are present
