Explain cause: Conflict and mistrust during WW2

A

Tensions between soviets and Americans during WW2.
-Stalin believed Britain had delayed d-day landings deliberately so that soviets would suffer more damage.
-US refused to share secrets of the atomic bomb with the soviet when they used it to defeat japan in August 1945.

Explain cause: The iron curtain

A

-After WW2 Stalin created a buffer zone to protect from future invasions.
-Imposed satellite states in Eastern Europe.
-West believed soviets were aggressively expanding their control of Europe. -( fear that they would take Europe.)

A

The US would aid other countries on condition they established acapitalit government.
-eg. military aid to country fighting communist forces in its own state.
