What was Operation Overlord?
The landing of over 150,000 US, British and Canadian troops in Normandy, France.
However, they fed false plans to Germans that they would land further east at Calais.
Why did Churchill and Roosevelt carry out operation overlord?
Stalin needed to ease pressure on the red army by attacking from the west.

-December 1944, a repeat of the 1940 attack through the Ardennes
-No they were exhausted and defeated by January 1945
