Five roots, C5, C6, C7, C8, T1, plus a small contribution from C4

How many trunks does the brachial plexus have? What are they?
3: Superior, middle inferior
How many divisions? What are they?
3 anterior and 3 posterior. No real names

3, lateral, posterior, medial
How many terminal branches? What are they?
Musculocutaneous and median
Radial and axillary
Ulnar and median
What converges to make each of the trunks?
C5+6 -> superior
C7 -> middle
C8 + T1 ->inferior
What does the medial cord arise from?
The anterior branch of the inferior trunk
What does the posterior cord arise from?
The posterior branches of the superior, middle, and inferior trunks
What does the lateral cord arise from?
The anterior branches of the superior and middle trunks
What arises from the lateral cord?
Musculocutaneous and median
What arises from the posterior cord?
Radial and axillary
What arises from the medial cord?
ulnar and median
