1) Tawhid -
the belief in one God
- allah is arabic for God and doesn’t have a plural
- nothing can be likened to Allah
Malaikah
Belief in Angels
- muslims belief that God’s greatness means that he cannot communicate directly to humans therefore he passes messages to prophets via the angels
-angels were Allahs first creation
Kutub
Belief in holy books
- the holy books should be respected, especially the Qur’an, this is the direct and unchanged word of God, revealed to the prophet Muhammed
Nubuwwah
Belief in prophets
- allah communicated with the prophets through the angels. Muslims believe they shouldn’t be worshipped, just respected
Akhirah
The belief in the day of judgement and the afterlife
- all muslims believe that their life is a test
-when they die they will be judged by Allah and sent to either jannah or jahannan
Al-Qadr
Belief in predestination
- this means everything in the universe is following a divine plan
- this shows the importance of God’s will
