A sexual relationship between a man and woman (opposite sexes)

A sexual relationship between two people of the same gender

What must be done as part of the commitment agreement

A sexual act before marriage has taken place
Civil marriage
Marriage for a couple (or same-sex couple) carried out at a registry
Civil partnerships
The legal registration of a same-sex couple, giving them some financial and legal protection
Religious marriage
A marriage service for a heterosexual relationship carried out in a place of worship
Annulment
The roman catholic way of ending a marriage- the marriage is set aside as if it was never real
Divorce
The legal ending of a marriage
