Zigong replied,
I don’t know.’

子知其賢
而不知其奚若
乎

The Lord said,
You know his worthiness,
yet you don’t know what it is like.
Is that possible?’

今謂天高

Zigong replied,
Now let’s say that heaven is high

無少長愚智皆知高
A
No matter whether you are young or old, wise or foolish, all know that it is high.

How high is it?
