What are the first responsibilities of a first riving truck to a fire alarm activation with no fire conditions?
Attempt to establish contact with individuals on premises
Obtain key box keys
Notify PRP and alarm monitoring company to alleviate concerns regarding activation of intrusion alarms if access is gained by key box keys or other than normal means
Attempt to locate alarm panel and/or annunciator panel
Personnel may respond to the floor/area of the alarm to determine the cause
If required, personnel shall make appropriate announcements via the voice communication system
If a fire alarm activation with no fire conditions is determined by personnel to be a false alarm what steps may be taken?
Use a signal alarm silence button to silence the bells

What can an officer do if wait times for a keyholder is in excess of 30 minutes?

When can forcible entry be made if access cannot be made through normal means for a fire alarm activation?
There are visible signs of fire
There is a visible steady uninterrupted water flow
There is an obvious potential for an immediate danger to life or property
There is a reasonable possibility that a medical emergency prompted the alarm activation
What notifications must be made when forcible entry has been used to gain access to a premise?
The IC must notify FC
FC must notify
PRP
The alarm monitoring company
The on-duty platoon chief
When personnel have attended an occupancy and no key holder was met what needs to occur and by whom?
A follow up visit should occur either by on duty fire personnel or a Fire prevention officer within a reasonable time period
What is the purpose of a follow up visit when a key holder is not met?
Update key holder lists
Ensure issued NTR has been received and understood
Advise the owner/occupants or their representatives regarding correction of system deficiencies
