A RIT will consist of a team of at least three personnel of the firefighting division that have passed the BFES approved RIT course

- Undertake and hazard risk analysis to ensure safety
- Notify fire control that the incident is “Code Green”
- Request police, ambulance, fire prevention and hydro to the scene
