What are captains responsible for with regard to stations and personnel?
Reporting to the district chiefs, captains are responsible for the discipline, training, efficiency and operation of their stations and personnel

- Gain authorization from the platoon chief
2. Loan will be noted in the portal under missing equipment with expected return date

When an apparatus is involved in a collision during a response what are the protocols for leaving the scene and continuing on?
Stay on scene if the damage is over $1000 or there is personal injury.
If there are no injuries and the damage is under $1000 it is at the discretion of the captain wether the apparatus remains on scene or continues on to the incident.

- Members of the office of the fire marshal and emergency management

Where must done with all articles of value found at a scene?
Turned over by the IC to the police. A receipt must be obtained or the transfer must be witnessed for any article given to the owner or police.

When are stations doors allowed to be kept open?
During warm weather overhead doors are allowed to be kept open to allow air circulation. Otherwise all doors are to be kept closed.

15 hours a month must be completed exclusive of specialized training.

How often must firefighters be evaluated?
Performance appraisals will be completed annually for firefighters and monthly for new recruits serving a probationary period.

Telestaff will be updated daily to ensure correct apparatus assignments and position on apparatus is recorded.

What should all personell be empowered to ask themselves, when dealing with a customer?
- Is it the right thing for the customer?
- Is it the right thing for BFES
- Is it legal, ethical and nice
- Is it safe
- Is it on your organizational level
- Is it something you are willing to accountable for?
- Is it consistent with BFES practices?
If the answer is yes to all fo these question, do not ask for permission , just do it

- Station transfers gor to DC and PC of their platoon
- Platoon stransfer will be sent othe Deputy Fire Chiefs
- Tansfers to another division will sent to the Fire Chief.

Who must be notified when a WIIR is entered and medical attention related to the injury or illness is later sought?
- Chief officers of their division or platton

What is the progresive steps when dealing with reporting to shift late?
- First offence: Shall warrent a reprimand from the on-duty captain and the respective DC and PC shall be notified in writing.
- Second offence: sheall warrant a reprimand form the PC or Division Chiefand the Deputy CHief shall be notified in writing
- Third offence: the memver shall not be allowed to go on-Duty until the PC or Division Chief has obtained permission form the Dputy Chief or if unabailable, the on-duty chief. However a third offence may warrant a suspension or dismissal by the Fire Chief
* Any member ow is more than 30 minutes late without notifying communication will be considered as fial to report. They shall not be allowed to go on duty unil their DC has obtained permeission formt he PC.
