23-01 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATION - NO FIRE CONDITIONS
What steps need to be taken on arrival?(4)
- personnel shall make eery effort to establish contact with individuals on the premisis.
- Personnel shall attempt to locate the alarm panel and/or annunciator panel to assist in determining the cause and location of the alarm
- personnel are reminded that the fire alarm/annunciator panel may be located at a different location that the naim entrance
- once the location of the alarm is deterined, personnel may respont to the floor/area of the alarm

If an alarm is determined to be false what may be done?(3)
- silence the alarm
- announce via voice communications system that the alarm is false
- reset pannel
23-01 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATION - NO FIRE CONDITIONS
If a panel doesn’t reset what steps must be taken?(6)
- silence the alarm
- advise owner/tenant to have system repaired ASAP
- Issue NTR
- Have responsible party contact monitoring company and comms to relay on-line/off-line status
- advise that while still in alarm the system is functioning with the exception of the alarm area/floor
- have owner/tenant set up fire watch in the affected area/floor

When can an alarm system be silenced?
When it is confirmed as a false alarm.
23-02 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATION - NO ACCESS
When access cannot be gained to the occupancy the IC shall? (3)
- confirm that a key holder has been notified
- confirm the time of notification
- confirm ETA
23-02 FIRE ALARM ACTIVATION - NO ACCESS
If no key holder is on scene what shall be done?(4)
- 360
- through check of the exterior using the TIC
- wait 30 minutes from the time the call was recieved. (During this time the apparatus shall be made available)
- When no key-holder responds and checks are complete, complete an NTR, leave it in a prominent place, and leave the scene

When should forcible entry occur? (4)
- visible sign of fire
- visible uninterrupted water flow
- obvious potential for immediate danger to life and property (i.e. smell of gas)
- reasonable possibility that a medical emergency prompted the alarm activation

Who will fire control notify in the case forcible entry has been made?(3)
- peel police
- monitoring company
- on-duty platoon chief

If a key-holder is not met with, a follow up visit shall be made in order too? (5)
- update key-holder list
- ensure NTR was received
- advise owner/occupant of system deficiencies
- make owner/occupant aware of the key-box system
- tour the premise for familiarization purposes and answer any questions
