Open skill
When the game situation is always changing requiring the player to adapt
Closed skill
Stable, predictable enviroment where the players know exactly what to do
Basic skill
Simple skill requiring very little concentration
Complex skill
Requires complete concentration with high technical ability
Low Organisation Skill
Involves clear simple phases or parts
High Organisation Skill
Complicated phases and parts
Massed practise
Practised until its learnt with no breaks. (For experienced athletes)
Distrubuted practised
Practise over many sessions learning a little bit every time with breaks
Fixed practise
Same skill practised over and over. Isolated skill repeated
Variable practise
Practise is multiple situations to improve open skills
Visual guidance
A coach/ another learner performing a demonstation or even showing a clip of a professional
Verbal guidance
Used to back up or before a demonstration to reiterate the key parts.
Manual guidance
When the coach is in contact to help them understand the skill and feel
Mechanical guidance
A machine helping you learn the skill
Intrinsic feedback
Watching themselves back giving themselves their own feedback
