What is the relationship between health and fitness?
The relationship between health and fitness is the role that exercise plays in both.
What is the definition of health?
Health isn’t just being well, it is the state of complete emotional/psychological,physical and social well-being.
What is Fitness?
Fitness is the ability to meet the demands of your specific environment, this is different for everyone.
What is performance?
Performance is the action or process of doing something to the best of your ability
What are hypo-kinetic diseases?
Hypo-kinetic diseases are diseases that are cause by a sedentary lifestyle (people who choose never to exercise). Diseases such as back pain, high blood pressure etc.
What is a Sedentary lifestyle?
A sedentary lifestyle consists of a lack of exercise, people who live a sedentary lifestyle are liable to gain many hypo-kinetic diseases
What is exercise?
Exercise is any activity that requires physical effort(will be different for the amounts that people may need).
What is Cardiovascular Fitness?
The ability to use your body for a long period of time without getting tired
What is flexibility?
The range of motion in your joints to get into certain positions.
What is muscular endurance?
The ability to use voluntary muscles repeatedly without getting tired
What is Body Composition?
The distribution of fat, muscle and bones in the body.
What is muscular strength?
The ability to exert force against a resistance
What is agility?
The ability to change direction quickly, with control.
What is balance?
Being able to keep the body stable while at rest or on the move.
What is power?
The ability to undertake strength performances quickly.
