Q

Why do we set goals ?

A

Setting goals gives you an incentive to achieve a level of fitness in a certain time-bound. If you just said i want to improve my fitness it is vague and easy to put off.

Q

How to set goals ? (Smart)

A

. Specific: in small detail know exactly what the goal is may include a series of steps
. Measurable: It will be easy to know when the goal is achieved ( I want to run an extra 100 metres in the cooper run )
. Achievable: Goal must be attainable in a time-bound, unachievable goals may lead to demotivation
. Realistic : May be achievable, is it easy to put off or may other factors hinder the completion
.Time-bound: Does the goal have and endpoint? Is it easy to put-off achieving indefinitely.
