The needs for fitness and skill are balanced differently in different sports, this needs to be reflected in training programes

Facilities available
When planning a programme you have to consider the resources you will need. Eg Weight Training= Do you have weights available to you?
Current level of fitness
Before creating a programme you will need to consider if you are ft enough to complete it. If its too challenging it could be dangerous or damaging for the person involve; injury would set them back even further.
Main training methods
. Continuous . Fartlek . Circuit . Interval . Plyometrics . Weight
Interval Training
Physical training involving alternating stages of high and low intensity activity
Fartlek
A method of training for runners where the terrain and speed are constantly changing
Continous
Working the entire body for long periods of time with no rest.
Circuit
A series of exercises completed for a certain amount of time /reps one after the other
Plyometric
Exercises where muscles use maximum force in short intervals of time
Weight
Involves shifting weight to increase the strength of the muscles using a programme of exercises.
