Open skill
A skill where the situation is always different.
Closed skill
A skill where the situation is always the same.
Basic skill
A skill that does not require a lot of effort.
Complex skill
A skill that requires more thinking and effort.
Low organisation skill
A skill that does not have many steps to learn it.
High organisation skill
A skill that has many steps to learn and takes more time to learn.
Massed practice
Where a technique is practiced until fully learned with no breaks- for professionals
Distributed practice
Where a skill is practiced over several sessions- for non professionals
Fixed practice
Where a sport is practiced in one situation until perfected- usually for closed skills
Variable practice
Involves practicing skill in variety of situations- open skills
Visual guidence
Learning a technique from a demonstration from either coach ,video or another player.
Verbal guidence
Learning a skill by being verbally instructed by your coach.
Manual guidence
Where the coach interacts with the practice to help simulate ingame situation
Mechanical guidence
Guidence involving machines helping you.
Insintric feedback
Feedback from the performer.
