Fracture
Where a bone is either cracked or broken completely. There is compound, simple, stress and closed.
Concussion
A blow to the head effecting memory, co-ordination or slurred talking.
Abrasion
Where you scrape or graze your skin on a rough surface.
Sprain
A tear of the ligament after movement that stretches the bones past the capable range.
Dislocation
Where a bone is dislocated from the joint and looks deformed or bruised.
Strain
A tear or pull of the tendon or muscle.
Soft tissue injury
Joint and bone movement past the range of can tear ligaments and tendons.
Torn cartilage
Firm elastic substance which lines adjoining bones. It absorbs the impact on the bones while reducing friction in activity.
What is RICE?
Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation
