Open Skill
The situation is always changing and the athlete has to adapt to the envionment of the sport.
Closed Skill
The skill is static and with a predicatable environment. Player knows exactly what to do and when.
Basic Skill
A basic skill is one that the athlete finds easy and can do simply without a lot of concentation.
Complex Skill
More difficult skill that requires more concentration and focus in general.
Low Organisation Skill
This is a skill with a low amount of phases and can be taught very easily.
High Organisation Skill
A skill with a high amount of phases and may have to be done over many lessons due to the complexity.
Massed Practice
Where the skill is practiced until learnt. Normally for athletes who are experienced and fit.
Distributed Practice
The skill is practiced over several sessions or with rest breaks. Normally for novices.

Where the skill is practiced over and over again until it is perfected. For example. A freethrow in basketball.
Variable Practice
This involves practicing the skill in a varitey of different situations.Can be adapted for.
SMART Goal
A smart goal is Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time bound.
Visual Guidance
Visual means where there is a demonstation of the exercise.
Verbal Guidance
When somebody talks about the exercise that you have to do and gives guidance verbally.
When somebody talks about the exercise that you have to do and gives guidance verbally.
The coach comes in contact with the sportpeople in order to help them with the task.
Mechanical Guidance
You use some technical equipment to aid you with the learning of your exercise.
