The impact of physical activity on physical health?
Cardiovascular fitness- Improved, lower RHR, Reduced risk of cardiovascular disease.
Body composition- Reduced percentage of fat in body. Reduces risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes.
Muscular strength and muscular endurance- Prevents osteoporosis. Improves general health and fitness.
Other health benefits- Fight off illnesses more effectively. Quicker recovery time from injury and reduced psychological impact of recovery as it is shorter.
The impact of physical activity on emotional health?
Feeling good- Produces Serotonin, feel better about body shape.
Relieving stress and tension- Distraction from daily problems of life. Endorphins are released.
Aesthetic appreciation- The art of physical exercise in a sport such as football can be seen as pleasing to the eye from a good goal scored in extra time that can give participants a great sense of motivation that their training is paying off and applause or a congratulations from a teammate or opponent could easily lead to greater enjoyment from the sport.
Increasing self-esteem and confidence-

For an emotional/psychological challenge.
The impact of physical activity on social health?
Co-operation- Many sports are pplayed in teams so therefore you can develop social friendships and you will meet often and so can stay connected for a while.
Developing friendships and mixing socially- Participants of physical exercsie can develop an interlinked network of friiends from their physical exercise and this creates lasting frienships.
Gaining a good attitude to competing- When you gain a good atittude to competing by learning to respect you’re opponent a being able to win a lose graciously you receive an ability to manage social relationships well as you now have an ability to have a strong sense of self.

- Helps you cope with the physical side of life.
- Moderate exercise improves longevity.
- Lowers risk of psychological illness.
- Lowers risk of eating problems.
- Makes you less likely to use drugs and smoke.
- Means you are less likely to be off work with sickness.
- Gives you a lower resting heart rate and lower blood pressure.
- Can help weight control.
- Gives you stronger bones.

The impact of fitness on well-being (negative effects) ?
- Puts you at risk of sport-related injury.
- Time off to recover from injury can lead to psychological issues.
- Competition pressure can lead to psychological issues.
- Early specialisation in one sport can reduce other opportunities.
