Why is a balanced diet important to maintain a healthy lifestyle?
A balanced diet involves eating the right balance of nutrients and not just the right amount of food,
It provides our body with the right amount of energy to live healthily and perform physical activity
What can eating too little lead to?
Muscle atrophy
Fatigue
Depression
Dizziness
Whaat can eating too much can lead to?
Diabetes
Heart disease
Osteoporosis
Mobility issues
What could impact activity levels?
Travelling/Location Problems
Cost of equipment, facilities and classes
Lack of facilities

How may you choose to monitor your activity levels?
We can do this through a PEP
What can regular activity improve?
Physcial, social and mental well-being
Why shiuld you not exercise too late?
This will have the opposite effect and mean you’re too energised because of the release of endorphins and seratonin.
What are the legal drugs and what affect do they have on our body?
Caffeine, nicotine and ethanol. They do all have a negative impact on our bodies or our behaviour and accepted in society to some extent.
Why are some the illegal drugs not accepted in society
They have negative and harmful effects and can be highly dangerous.

What can all the drugs lead to?

What is nicotine?
Nicotine is a stimulant that raises alertness, It is an addictive drug.
Why is smoking so bad?
Smoking is highly addictive and within a short space of time people who smoke start to develop cravings for ciggarettes and can experience withdrawal symptoms of smoking if they go to long without smoking.
What are the withdrawal symtoms of smoking
Agitated, being more irritated and figety. Itching fir the ciggarette.
