Shochu
A
a Japanese distilled spirit. It is typically distilled from barley(mugi), sweet potatoes(imo), buckwheat(soba), or rice(kome). However, it can be distilled from a wide range of ingredients. It is typical in Japan to drink shochu neat, on the rocks, or with hot or cold water. It is less typically used in cocktails.
