Brandy - is
a spirit that is produced by distilling wine. This includes wine made from any fruit, not just grapes. Cognac is the most well known variety of brandy and must be produced in Charente region of France. To bear the name Cognac at least 90% of the grapes must be ugni blanc. Other brandies include, Armangac(from SW France), Grappa(From Italy, made from grape pomace), and Pisco(from Peru and Chile).
