Definition
A
A rare systemic illness characterised by necrotising inflammation of medium-sized arteries leading to aneurysm formation.
Principally affects viscera, and may lead to organ infarction if left untreated

Clinical Features
A
Fever
Weight loss
Malaise
GI upset
Vasculitic rash
Renal, pulmonary and CVS involvement may also occur
Peripheral neuropathy may also occu, due to involvement of the vasa nervorum

A
HEP B infection

Clinical diagnosis may be confirmed either by
A
Histological analysis of affected organs
Coeliac axis or renal arteriograms (beading pattern of microaneurysms)

High-dose glucocorticoids usually with pulsed cyclophosphamide therapy
