What does the Book of Mormon prove to the world?
The Book of Mormon proves the divinity of the latter-day work.
What is meant by “justification” and “sanctification” and “fall from grace?”
- To be justified is to be made righteous and therefore to be saved. Men are justified in what they do when their deeds conform to divine standards. Righteous acts are approved of the Lord.
- This is sanctification. To be spotless or perfect is to be clean and pure and free from the blood and sins of this telestial world.
- To “fall from grace” a man would need to repent and then to unrepent, we need to retain our repentance, otherwise we Fall from grace.
What event does D&C 20:5–8 have reference to?
This is in reference to the time after the first vision when he was entangled again in the vanities of the world” and needed to repent again.
What is the significance of April 6?
This is the date that the church was organized.
What is the significance of the phrase in the blessing on the bread and water “always remember him?”
We will always remember him. Not just on Sunday, but on Monday, in our daily acts, in our self-control.
What are the duties of An apostle?
An apostle is an elder, and it is his calling to baptize; And to administer bread and wine And to confirm those who are baptized into the church, by the laying on of hands for the baptism of fire and the Holy Ghost; And to teach, expound, exhort, baptize, and watch over the church; And to confirm the church by the laying on of the hands, and the giving of the Holy Ghost; And to take the lead of all meetings.
What are the duties an elders?
The Elders are to conduct the meetings as they are led by the Holy Ghost, according to the commandments and revelations of God.
What are the duties the priests?
The priest’s duty is to preach, teach, expound, exhort, and baptize, and administer the sacrament, And visit the house of each member, and exhort them to pray vocally and in secret and attend to all family duties. And he may also ordain other priests, teachers, and deacons. And he is to take the lead of meetings when there is no elder present;
What are the duties the deacons?
The deacons to assist the teachers in their duties; they are to warn, expound, exhort, and teach, and invite all to come unto Christ.
Why is it “expedient that the church meet together often to partake of bread and wine [water]?”
It is expedient so that we are reminded that we promise to partake of the sacrament in remembrance of the Lord Jesus.

Apostle and Elder were the 1st 2 offices.
Who was the first preacher of the Church?
Joseph Smith was the first preacher.
What offices was Joseph Smith called to? How does this differ from how we sustain the prophet today?
He was called to the office of an ELDER and the he was called to be a seer, translator, prophet, and an apostle.
There is no difference today compared to the first time when Joseph was called and sustained. The Lord put out the calling and the membership votes.
What authority do the words of the prophet have?
The words of the prophets are the same as if they came from the Lord.
