Wrist , around the wrist, Between the fingers and genitals
The head and neck
Itching is increased at night

Does a patient with scabies require isolation?
A
Yes they should be placed under contact isolation

What is the treatment?
A
Permethrin 5% lindane (Kwell)

What nursing education should be included?
A
Treat all family members at the same time.
Wash all bed linen in hot water.
Itching may occur a few weeks after treatment
