Patient Assessment —-
- medication should be clear with no particles or discoloration before injecting
- Monitor for signs of bleeding
Contraindications -
- do not give a patient has history of heparin induced thrombocytopenia.
- Stop 24 hours before surgery
- Not take with other blood thinners

- This is considered a low molecule weight heparin (LMWH)
