2. Supportive care
3. 10% dextrose
4. Blood Transfusion
5. Intubation may be necessary to provide adequate oxygenation
6. Intracranial pressure must be monitored and controlled in pt with cerebral edema
7. Management of cerebral edema may involve:
   a. Fluid restriction
   b. Diuresis
   c. Corticosteroids
   d. Pentobarbital has been given to pt to decrease cerebral metabolic demands
8. Therapies to reduce hyperammonemia may also be indicated
9. In pt who develop seizures, antiepileptic medications may be necessary
