- Ice test

Administration of edrophonium chloride (Tensilon)
IV: 30 seconds after injection facial muscle weakness and ptosis should resolve for about 5 minutes
Atropine should be available (for allergic reactions)

For pt with asthma or cardiac condition
Ice is held over the pt’s eye for 1 minute
- ptosis should be resolved
