  1. Extreme muscle weakness
  2. Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
  3. Diplopia (double vision)
  4. Dysarthria (difficulty speaking)
  5. Dyspnea (SOB)

Clinical Manifestations: Objective

A
  1. Ptosis of the eyelid
  2. Dysphonia (weak voice)
  3. Myasthenic smile (snarling, nasal smile)
  4. Snarling face
  5. Strabismus
  6. Weakness in intercostal muscles resulting in decreasing vital capacity and respiratory failure

Surgical intervention

Can produce antigen-specific immunosuppression

It may take 1yr after the removal before the pt can benefit
