Q

What are the steps in the reflex arc?

A
  • receptor
    • detect stimulus
    • creates an action potential in the sensory neurone
  • sensory neurones
    • carries impulse to spinal cord
  • relay neurone
    • connects the sensory neurone to the motor neurone within the spinal cord or brain
  • motor neurone
    • carries impulse to the effect to carry out the appropriate resonse
  • effects
    • muscle or gland
