Pulmonary Circulation (FINAL) Flashcards
1
Q
A
Pulmonary Circulation
- Pulmonary circulation transports oxygen-poor blood from the right ventricle to the lungs
- Where blood picks up a new blood supply
- Then it returns the oxygen-rich blood to the left atrium
- Turns deoxygenated blood into oxygenated blood

Q
A
Pulmonary Arteries
- The pulmonary artery and its branches deliver blood rich in carbon dioxide (and lacking in oxygen) to the capillaries that surround the air sacs

Pulmonary Capillaries
- The smallest of the body’s blood vessels.
