It is the basic of music and dance movement and dance is simply expressive movement made with or without music. and can arouse the individuality high intensity of movement, participation, interest, and increase enjoyment.
Rhythm
Activities are the physical manifestation of mental and emotional responses of the individual to the rhythm. They are activities which a child responds to physically, socially and mentally to regular patterns and sounds.

Time signature
is the rate of speed at which a piece or a passage moves. It can be constant or show increase or decrease.
Tempo
refer to the arrangement of long and short intervals with relation to the underlying beat, accomplished by dividing the beat into parts and combining beats in different ways.
Rhythm pattern
is a steady underlying pulse of rhythm and it can be even or uneven. Music with a pronounced beat is easier to follow
Beat
is a series of units or beats that are regularly repeated
Underlying beats
is the unit formed by the recurrence of accent or the fundamental rhythmic group.
Measure
is a group of measures which has a feeling of unity. It also consist of 8 underlying beats.
Phrase
refers to the stress given to a beat. It marks the first beat in a measure.
Accent
is the shifting of regular metrical accent.

Means round of the leg. It is when the dancer rests on one leg and makes a circular movement with the other leg. It may be done “a terre” which means the circle is made while the foot is touching the ground
ROND DE JAMBE
Is when the dancer stands on one leg with the other leg extended behind the body. The arms can be held in a variety of positions. Regardless, the goal is to create as smooth seamless a line as possible with the body, from the shoulder through the arms and down to the toes of the extended leg.
Arabesque
Is a 360 degree spin made on one foot that is an pointe or demi-pointe, and is frequently begun from fourth position. The move requires strong core alignment and balance.
Pirouette
Means “bent or “bending”, and is when one or both knees are bent while legs and feet remain turned out, and are done with in first, second, fourth and fifth positions.
Plie
are dances intended primarily to get to know other people in attendance to a certain social function. They are also called ballroom dances. They are usually performed in pairs, male and female, but may also be performed in groups and classified into two major classifications namely the Latin American Dances and the Modern Standard Dances.

Cha- cha- cha
a contemporary ballroom dance of Afro-Cuban-Caribbean folk dance origin and became internationally popular in the early 20th century is an erotic dance. The music is written in 4/4 time, 4 beats to a bar of music, and each beat should be given its full value.
RUMBA
In Latin dancing, a dance style that originated in the United States from African- Americans in the early 1930s. it was popularized in 1934 by Cab Calloway. It is a lively and uninhibited variation of the Jitterbug, a form of Swing dance.
