what was Mr. Jones doing

A

Most of the time he was in taproom at the Red lion in Willingdon, complaining to anyone who listened to monstrous injustice he suffered from animals

otheres gave no help. each wondered whether they they could turn his disaster into Jones’ own advantage.

the two farms that adjoined or were next to Animal farm were in bad terms. Foxwood was large, neglected and old-fasioned and grown by wood land and its hedges in disgracefulcondition. Mr. Pilkington was an easy-going gentleman farmer who spent most time fishing or hunting

Pinchfield was smaller and better kept. Mr. Fredrick, tough shrewd, lawsuits and drove hard bargains. disliked each other it was difficult to come to an agreement even in defence of presonal intersets

How did Pilkington and Frederick react to Rebellion

A

frightened by Rebellion and anxious to prevent animals to learn too much

joked it and it would be over in a fortnight.

fighting among themselves and rapidly starved to death. When time passed, they changed tunes and said, they practiced cannibalism, tortured one-another with horse-shoes and had sex in common.

Describe the spread of the rebellion

A

never fully believed.

stories of wonderful humanless farms spread throughout the country

Throughout that year, a wave of rebeliousness ran througout the country side.

bulls turned savage, sheep broke down hedges, and devoured clover etc.

Words and tune of beasts of England spread every with astonishing speed. humans could not stand their rage and could not understand how even animals could bring themselves to this rubbish. any animal would be flogged

the song was irrepressible. blackbirds whistled it in the hedges, the pigeons cooed it in the elms. became achurch belltune and into the din of the smithies.

when humans listened to it, they trembled, hearing in it a prophecy of their future doom.

the battle of the Cowshed

When? how

A

early in october, when corn was cut and stacked and some of it was threshed, a flight of pigeons came through the air and alighted in the yard with wildest excitement.

Jones and all his men, with 6 from Foxwood and pinchfield, entered gate and cart-track. they carried sticks and a gun for recapture of the farm.

A

Snowball studied an old book of Julius Caesar’s campaigns in the farmhouse and was in charge of defense. He gave his orders quickly and in a couple of minutes gave his orders quickly.

describe the battle

A

Snowball launched his first attack.

35 pigeons flew to and fro the mens’ heads and muted upon them from midair.

the geese hiding behind the hedge pecked vivaciously at the calves of their legs.

this was only a light skirmishing move to create little disorder and men drove the geese with their sticks.

second line of attack

A

Muriel Benjamin and all sheep with snowball at lead, rushed forward and butted the men from all sides while Benjamin turned around and lashed them with small hoofs.

the men with sticks and hobnail boots were too strong and at a squeal from snowball retreated and fled to yard.

Describe the 3rd charge

A

men triumphed and rushed after animals in disorder. This was Snowball intented. three horses, 3 cows, and the rest of the pigs, who had been lying in ambush in the cowshed, suddenly emerged in the rear, cutting them off.

Snowball gave signal for charge. he dashed straight for jones. he saw him coming and fired.

Snowball bleeded and a sheep died. Snowball flung his fifteen stone on Jones’ legs and he fell in dung, and gun flew away.

Boxer was strong and with his iron-shod hoofs, and hit a stable-lad from foxwood in the skull and killed him in mud.

At sight, all men ran but animals inflicted their venegance on them. Even the cat suddenly sank her claws in a cowman’s neck and he yelled horribly. they bolted for main road with geese on calves and were finished in 5 minutes.

A

Boxer forgot wearing iron shoes. he tried to stir hirm

snowball said, no sentimentality War is War. the only good human is a dead one.

where was mollie

and stable-lad

A

everyone though mollie got kidnapped or even carried her off. In the end she was found head buried in hay in manger.

She flew off as gun went off.

the stable lad was only stunned and recovered and flew away.

what happened after the battle

A

the animals reassambled in the wildest excitement

each recounted his own exploits at top of his voice.

an impromptu celebration was held immediatly.

flag hoisted and beasts of England was sung a # times, then the sheep was given a funeral, and a hawthorn bush being planted on her grave.

Snowball made a speech that all animals must be ready to die for Animal Farm if need be.

A

animals decided to create a military decoration, “animal Hero, first Class.” on snowball and baxer.

a brass medal horse-brasses in harness-room to be worn on sundays and holidays.

A

Much discussion to name of battle. Battle of the Cowshed because place of ambush.

Mr. Jones gun lied in the mud and supply of cartridges in the farmhouse.

fire it twice year. October 12 the battle and midsummer day, the aniversarry of the rebellion
