How is JOPES used in the embark process?
Tracks the following:

What is the difference between a Special Assignment Airlift Mission (SAAM) and Operational Support Airlifts
- SAAM is managed by Air Mobility Command (AMC) but used funded.
- SAAM is for pickup or delivery at locations outside of an established AMC route.
- Operational support lifts utilize previously established AMC or commercial flight routes. Is not utilized for full Battalion mount-out.
What are the Embarkation Officer duties within ACB-1?
- Responsible to the CO for orderly and efficient embarkation of the Battalion
- Awareness of the TOA asset locations, conditions, and how much space is required for marshalling, transporting, and arrival/assembly.
- Maintain embark/MOCC and turnover files.
- Training and readiness of embark personnel
Coordinate requirements for movement with S3. - Validate load plans.
- Maintain embarkation library.
- Ensure DET is assigned qualified embarkation personnel.

The MCC’s primary mission is to maintain technical continuity. ACB-1s embark staff is collocated within the MCC in Port Hueneme to improve communication and interface.
