What is CESE?
Civil Engineer Support Equipment
What CESE is Automotive Equipment?
Includes trailers and all self-propelled motor vehicles designed for highway or cross-country operations. Buses, sedans, trucks, ambulances, re-fuelers, de-fuelers, truck trailers, and rescue operation trucks.
What CESE is Construction Equipment?
All mechanical equipment used in the construction, alteration, or repair of buildings, bridges, roads, or other kinds of real property. Pile drivers, power shovels, and cranes with special attachments, road rollers, etc.
What CESE is Materials Handling Equipment?
MHE is all self-propelled and conveyor equipment used in storage and material handling operations in and around warehouses, shipyards, industrial plants, etc. Includes warehouse tractors, forklift trucks, rough terrain forklift trucks, pallet trucks, and etc.
What CESE is Weight Handling Equipment?
WHE includes mobile or transportable truck, crawler, and railway mounted cranes normally used for lifting, moving, or placing heavy material or equipment.
What is CEEI?
Civil Engineering End Item: refrigerated containers, shower bath units, water purification units and SIXCON pump units.
What is the importance of first echelon maintenance?
Every operator must keep the vehicle and equipment assigned clean, safe, in serviceable condition, and perform daily operator’s maintenance.
What is the process for completing Operating checks?
- Each operator is required to ensure vehicle is in working condition.
- Daily checks before and after operation.
- Periodic lubrication and adjustment.
- Requirements are completed utilizing the MRC.
- Performed to ensure early detection of deficiencies.
What is the process for completing Operator inspection guide trouble reports?
- Issued with pre-start MRC by Dispatch prior to issuing trip ticket.
- Must be completed per directions and returned to yardboss.
- Yardboss will review and determine deficiencies.
- All safety deficiencies warrant immediate repairs.
- Repair/maintenance will be completed.
- If no repairs required, a trip ticket DD Form 1970 may be issued.
What is the process for completing motor vehicle utilization records?
Vehicle trip tickets will not be issued to a person who does not have a valid OF-346:
- Date
- Type of vehicle
- USN
- Organization
- Fuel and Oil levels
- Operator’s name and signature
- Dispatcher’s name and signature
- Odometer/hour meter reading “out” and “in”
What is organizational maintenance?
Maintenance which is the responsibility of, and performed by, the operator, and scheduled PM performed by trained personnel.
What is corrective maintenance?
Removal, replacement, repair, alteration, calibration, modification, and the rebuild and overhaul of individual assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
What is Depot Maintenance?
Maintenance performed on equipment that requires major overhaul or comprehensive restoration to a degree necessary to restore the entire unit to a like-new condition.
What are the contents of a “Mishap Crash” package?
- SF 91 Motor Vehicle Accident Reports
- DD 518 Accident Identification Card
- SF 94 Witness Statement
- Detailed instructions if involved in vehicle mishap
What are the requirements for government licenses?
- Fill out Parts I 7 II of NAVFAC Form 11240/10: Application/Record for US Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s ID
