Mention 6 Manifestations of Kluver-Bucy syndrome
The major cause of Korsakoff ’s syndrome ?
It occurs in chronic alcoholic patients who suffer from poor nutrition and develop a thiamine deficiency.
This results in disruption of the Papez circuit, which in turn causes defects in memory and learning.
Major sign/symptom of Korsakoff ’s syndrome ?
The syndrome is characterized by memory loss mainly for recent events, without affecting other mental functions.
