Technique children with proximal muscle weakness use to stand up

- push hips up and backwards
- shift weight backwards + transfer hands to knees
- walk hands up to legs to stand

Present at 3-5 years old

Oral steroids
Creatine
What causes Beckers muscular dystrophy?
Less severe dystrophin gene defection
What age do symptoms present in Beckers muscular dystrophy?
8-12 years
