Describe Froment’s test
Patient holds piece of paper between thumb and forefinger, examiner pulls it away
Describe a positive Froment’s test
Thumbs bend as paper is pulled away, or patient is unable to hold paper
(negative- patient can hold paper with straight thumbs)
Which muscle is weak in a positive Froment’s test?
ADDuctor pollicis
ulnar nerve palsy
What type of deformity is not tolerated in a boxer’s (5th metacarpal neck) fracture?
Rotational deformity
What is the imaging modality of choice for suspected DDH?
Ultrasound
