Fartlek Continuous Circuit Interval Plyometric Weight
Continuous training
Working the entire body for long periods of time. Aerobic training working to hit a certain target. Trying to get to your training threshold which is 60-80%.
Fartlek training
A method of training for runners where the terrain and speed are constantly changing. Speed play, changing speed, distance and time in the same session.
Circuit training
A series of exercises completed for a certain amount of time/reps, after another.
Interval training
Physical training involves alternating stages of low and high intensity.
Plyometric training
Plyometrics are exercises in which muscles exert maximum force in short intervals at a time.
Weight training
Involves shifting weights to increase the strength of the muscle using a programme of exercises.
