essential in helping the body fight infection. works alongside the blood circulatory system to help to get rid of toxins and unwanted materials

network of lymph vessels, nodes and organs
what is lymph fluid
a clear fluid rich in white blood cells, especially lymphocytes. Lymph is formed from the blood plasma, which is forced out of the blood vessels by pressure
what does the lymph fluid composition varies depend on
location of the body, health of the animal, diet of the animal
what’s the purpose of lymph nodes
they filter the lymph to get rid of toxins, waste and pathogens. They contain immune cells that can help fight infection by attacking and destroying germs that are carried in through the lymph fluid
what are the 2 lymph organs
thymus and spleen

function of the thymus organs
these destroy virus-infected cells and can instruct the body to release other cells to target the infection

controls levels of erythrocytes in the blood and is where b-lymphocytes cells mature. these secrete antibodies
functions of the lymphatic system
returns interstitial fluid from tissues to the circulatory system. Filters lymph to remove waste and toxic materials. Produces and transports antibodies and lymphocytes. Transports digested fat from the intestine to other sites in the body for storage.
what causes a heart murmur
abnormal blood flow through the heart caused by abnormal heart structure
