what is the process of avian ventilation

A
  1. air passes through the larynx, trachea and into the posterior air sacs
  2. air moves from the posterior sacs to the lungs via the ventrobronchi and dorsobronchi
  3. air moves from lungs into anterior/cranial air sacs
  4. air moves from the anterior/cranial air sacs, through the syrinx, trachea and out of the nares
