Attract

I like him, but unfortunately he can’t stand me
Captivate

Attract and hold the interest and attention of; charm; Seduce- fascinate: I can never understand why people are so captivated by royal weddings
Detest

Dislike intensely; Abhor- Hate- Loathe- Despise: A lot of people detest seafood, and some are even allergic to it
Disgust

Cause (someone) to feel revulsion or profound disapproval; Hate: Bigoted people disgust me with their small-minded attitudes.
Dread

Anticipate with great apprehension or fear; Fear- Be afraid of- Worry about- Be anxious about: He’s a very punctual person, and dreads being late for anything.

feel a desire or liking for; Wish for- Want- Desire- Long for- Yearn for- Imagination- Idea- Conception- Have a yearning/craving for: My brother fancies spending some time working abroad
Fascinate

Draw irresistibly the attention and interest of (someone); Attract- Absorb- Captivate: I’m fascinated by new technology, and spend a lot of money on the latest electronic gadgets.
Long

Gave a strong wish or desire; Crave- Aspire- Hunger- Thirst: We were cold and wet, and longed for a hot drink
Loathe
Verb
Feel intense dislike or disgust for; hate: I don’t like early morning starts, and absolutely loathe having to get out of bed early

Repel
Verb
Drive or force (an attack or attacker) back or away; repulse
She’s a vegetarian, and the thought of eating meat repels her.
Tempt
Verb
Entice or attempt to entice (someone) to do or acquire something that they find attractive but know to be wrong or not beneficial; Induce: Supermarkets know that customers who come in for essential items like milk and bread are often tempted by special offers on other products.
Yearn
Verb
Have an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from; Desire- Aspire: We had been working very hard, and were yearning for a holiday
