Ovaries
Produce ova. Also produce hormones that control the menstrual cycle
When ovum is
Released from the ovary, it is carried along the Fallopian tube towards the uterus.
Uterus is
A pear-shaped muscular structure where an embryo develops during pregnancy. Has strong muscular walls and a soft, smooth inner lining called the endometrium.
If fertilization occurs
Ovum attaches itself to the endometrium
Cervix
Ring of muscle at the bottom end of the uterus. Lead to vagina. Produces fluid to keep the vagina moist.
Vagina
Has muscular walls that stretch during childbirth
