Lecture 26 - Clinical 3, Reflexes Flashcards
Diagnosing upper motor neuron problem?
no wasting or fasciculation, increased tone (spasticity), reduced power, increased tendon reflex, extensor plantar response, reduced rapid alternating movements
Diagnosing lower motor neuron problem?
yes wasting, possible fasciculation, normal or decreased tone, reduced poer, decreased tendon reflex, flexor plantar response, normal rapid altenrating movements
Diagnosing extra-pyramidal problem?
no wasting or fasciculation, increased tone (rigidity), normal power and tendon reflexes, flexor plantar response, reduced rapid alternating movements
