Clinical features of HSP
A
- palpable purpuric rash over buttocks and extensor surfaces of arms and legs
- abdominal pain
- polyarthritis
- features of IgA nephropathy e.g. haematuria, renal failure

Management of HSP
A
- analgesia for arthralgia
- supportive tx of nephropathy
(no role for immunosuppressants/steroids)

Prognosis of HSP
A
usually excellent - especially in children without renal involvement
