- Inhibits vagally-mediated reflexes by antagonizing the action of acetylcholine

- Bronchospasm associated with COPD (emphysema and chronic bronchitis)

Adverse Reactions:
- Resp: Coughing, increased sputum
- CNS: Dizziness, insomnia, tremors
- GI: Nausea

Adult Dose?

Adult Dose:
- 500 mcg in 2.5 ml NS via SVN or in-line with a ventilator device. Repeat according to medical control.

- 500 mcg in 2.5 ml NS via SVN or in-line with a ventilator device. Do not repeat.

Special Notes:
- Anticholinergics produce preferential dilation of the larger central airways
- May be more effective use in combination with beta agonists (such as albuterol)
- Keep out of light in foil pouch and avoid excessive humidity
