A
Conscious patient with suspected hypoglycemia

Contraindications
A
Decreased level of consciousness; Active vomiting

A
Adult and Pediatric dose- 15-30 gm orally, may be repeated until desired effects are achieved

Side Effects and Special Notes
A
Duration of effect is limited; patient should consume foods high in carbohydrates as soon as possible
