Contraindications
A
Known hypersensitivity; relatively contraindicated in patients with active ulcer disease; asthma

A
2-4 chewable baby aspirin 160-325 mg Oral

Side effects and special notes
A
Higher doses can interfere with prostacyclin production and can interfere with positive benefits; Aspirin alone, started within 24 hours of the onset of an acute MI, reduced overall mortality to almost the same degree as thrombolytic agents.
