A
Antiarrhythmic; Prolongation of the myocardial cell action-potential duration and refactory period; Noncompetitive alpha- and beta-adrenergic inhibition; Blocks sodium channels, and, to some extent, the calcium channels.

Contraindications
A
None when given in the cardiac arrest setting

A
300 mg rapid IV push followed by 10cc NS flush, 2nd dose 150mg

Side effects and Special Notes
A
Hypotension; Bradycardia; Congestive Heart failure; AV block; Do not shake vials, will cause foaming of medication
